Chris Orlando
President
Chris is a senior from Oradell, NJ, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Computer Science, driven by an enduring passion for sports analytics, particularly in football and basketball. He has gained internship experience working within the sports industry, most notably last fall with the NY Giants before landing his current role in the Data Analytics department for Madison Square Garden. He eagerly anticipates a year of growth, achievements, and most importantly, fun, fueled by his dedication to advancing the expertise of sports analytics within the club!
Paul Gomes
Vice President
Originally from Mount Sinai, New York, Paul is a senior in the Gabelli School of Business, where he is studying accounting and information systems. He is an avid Yankees and Giants fan and enjoys watching all of the four major sports. Throughout his time at Fordham, Paul has worked with the baseball research team and has participated in numerous case competitions with the club. During the past summer, Paul worked at Ernst & Young as an Audit Intern, and plans to work there full time after graduation. Paul is looking forward to continuing to grow the club’s brand throughout the semester!
Naman Lakhani
Chief Marketing Officer
Naman is a sophomore in the Gabelli School of Business and is from Long Island. He has had a passion for baseball, basketball, and football ever since he was little and is one of the biggest Yankee fans you will ever meet. He has always been interested in looking at the game from an analytical perspective to understand it at a deeper level. Naman has been working with the Fordham Baseball Analytics team in and is excited to implement several years of researching and exploring advanced analytics for MLB players as a passion. Being a part of a sports analytics club is like a dream come true for him!
Etienne Busnel
Chief Operation Officer​
Etienne is a junior from Queens, New York studying Mathematics and Economics at Rose Hill. He has participated in case competitions for the club and is interested in finding new ways to better understand data to solve problems, including in sports. Etienne is a Mets, Jets, and Rangers fan and enjoys playing Blitzball in his free time.
Connor Dwyer
Head of Baseball Research
Matt is a junior from Mullica Hill, NJ pursuing a degree in Public Accounting at the Gabelli School of Business. He is a huge Phillies fan and credits his interest in sports analytics from his passion for baseball. He is currently a student manager for the Fordham Baseball Team and is a shortstop on the Club Baseball team. As the Head of Baseball Research, Matt hopes to continue developing the club’s relationship with Fordham Athletics and find new ways to grow the club in the future.
Jack Arlotta
Graduate Assistant
Jack is a senior from Garden City, NY studying Applied Accounting and Finance and will be pursuing his Masters in Public Accounting following graduation. He is an avid baseball, hockey and football fan who is always found watching games in his free time. His passion for watching and discussing sports led him to join the club in his freshman year, and he has further developed these interests throughout the years by being a frequent user of websites such as Baseball Reference and Fangraphs.
John Palmadessa
Chief Financial Officer
John is a senior from Manhasset, New York studying Finance with a double minor in Economics and Music at the Gabelli School of Business. He is passionate about basketball and football analytics as he is an avid fan of the New York Knicks and New York Jets. John is excited about combining several of his interests including sports, data analytics, and finance as this year’s Chief Financial Officer. Can’t wait for a fantastic year!
Matt Reese
Chief Growth Officer
Matthew is a senior from Weddington, North Carolina and is majoring in Information Systems. He just completed an internship this summer with Analytic Partners and has worked in analytic consulting for multiple groups. Matthew played football and threw discus in high school. He enjoys any sport he can watch from NFL to Horse Racing. Additionally, Matthew has found statistics to be fun aspect of the sport industry, enhancing his passion for sport analytics. He is currently learning multiple programming languages, such as SQL and Java. Matthew joined the club his freshman year and is excited to be part of the eboard this year!
Andrew Pollack
Sophomore Liaison
Andrew is a sophomore in the Gabelli School of Business planning to major in Business Administration. A Yankees fan growing up in Red Sox nation, Andrew developed a love for baseball at a young age. He discovered his passion for analytics in high school and hopes to expand his knowledge of the sport and educate others about the numbers behind the game. Andrew’s favorite movies include Moneyball (2011) and Draft Day (2014).
