About Us

IMG_9578_edited.jpg

Established in October 2020, FSAS is an undergraduate, student organization whose mission is to further its members' understanding of advanced sports statistics, principles, and methods of analysis.

The club hosts guest speakers, publishes research, facilitates research teams for Fordham Athletics, and participates in case competitions. In addition to this, FSAS hosts Spike ball and Wiffle ball tournaments, club formals, and watch parties!

While the club is primarily concerned with the sports of Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, and Hockey, it invites members to perform and publish research on any sport of their choosing.

 Blog Posts

The club regularly publishes peer-reviewed research articles to its blog and all members are invited to contribute! To get started, simply send an email containing your research proposal to sportsanalytics@fordham.edu

Research Teams

Per the club's partnership with Fordham Athletics, members have the opportunity to work directly with Fordham varisty sports teams through student-run research teams. Below are a few of the research teams that have already been formed. If there is a sports team would like to perform research for, but is not listed below, please email us at sportsanalytics@fordham.edu.

Stay tuned for more episodes through our social media platforms, as well as our YouTube and Spotify!

Case Competitions

The club also participates in sports analytics case competitions hosted by clubs from other universities and professional sports teams.
